Temple hopping...in LEATHERS?!?

It's true! There really is such thing as a Temple Riders Association. I went to Snow College for youth conference in August and was lucky enough to get to meet some of the fine members of the T.R.A. Okay, okay...I pretty much hunted them down and forced them into telling me everything I needed to know about the association and how I could go about becoming one of them. There was a huge group of them and they travel all around the country on their motorcycles visiting all the different temples. The men had on shirts and ties under their leather jackets and get this...the women had on sweats underneath their dresses!
This association has been around for years and I had no idea. They said all I needed was a motorcycle and a temple recommend and I could join them...hmmm...maybe I can borrow my moms scooter! This has been a long time dream for me, George and I talk about it all the time. So mark my words...someday George and I will have leather jackets that have a big "T.R.A" on the back of them and I'll be riding from temple to temple with sweats under my skirt.
They gave me their card (can you believe they even have cards?!) so I can get in touch with them in 20 years when our kids are grown. Chances are the sweet old couples that I became friends with won't be riding anymore but no worries...the Temple Riders Association will live on!
I just recently got called into Young Womens so youth conference was my first big activity. We only had 2 girls go but we had a great time and it was fun to get to know them better. Pretty sure they thought I was crazy when I flagged down the members of the T.R.A but we had a good laugh about it afterwards. We went to the Manti temple and had a small fireside which was such a neat experience. Some of the youth bore powerful testimonies and the spirit was so strong...it was a great conference.

6-Month Anniversary

Today is our 6-month anniversary. I love you babe.
We celebrated by spending the day as a family. We all went to Boondocks and had a blast.
Cambrie was the only one old enough to go on the race cars, but she loved it.
Drew and Max spend so much time on the snowmobile and motorcycle arcade games we eventually had to drag them off.

Biking with the Boys

Drew and Max have been riding their bikes without training wheels for months now, but they still crash and often run into each other and our neighbor's cars (we apologize in advance...again). Here's Drew worried about his twisted handle bars and Max still dazed and confused after smacking face first into Drew's rear tire.
As you can see, Max is very proud of his bloody teeth and tire-tread face.
Don't worry. We fixed Drew's handlebars.

Catch Up

It's been a while since we blogged, so here are a few catch-up pictures:
This is one of the kids shucking corn for Sunday dinner. Very "pioneer" of us save the plastic garbage bag and the genetically modified corn.
After Family Night we went to the duck pond. After contributing to ornithic obesity...
...the kids proceeded to name the ducks. Please enjoy our pictures of Whitey (the white one), Lucifer (the black one behind whitey), and their unholy child, butterscotch (seen above in tow)
The other night we all had a late night and watched Bridge to Terabithia. We liked it.
