George,
Cambrie, and I went to New York for a few days for Richard (George's brother) and Jamie's wedding. They got married in the Manhattan temple and took pictures in Central Park... I don't think the wedding could have gone better, it was beautiful!

The happy couple in Central Park.

The Gordon-Smith boys (L to R: David, Henry, Richard, and George)

Cambrie with Grandma and Grandpa Gordon-Smith. It was great to spend time with George's family...his parents live in Prague so we don't get to see them very often. This was just after finishing pictures and all the women were in pain from walking around Central Park in heels. So much walking!

Cambrie and George breaking out the moves. This trip was so good for Brie, she needed the one on one time with us. She got spoiled rotten and saw everything on her "to do in New York" list.
FAO Schwartz toy store. What could be better than a GIGANTIC tootsie pop???.....

How about a "stairway to candy heaven!" This was one of Brie's favorite stops...a 3 story candy store with over 5,000 different kinds of candy. Forget the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building...give me some sugar!

The Metropolitan Museum of Art with George's brother Henry.

American Museum of Natural History with George's parents. The museums in New York are amazing! We could have spent a whole day in each of them if we'd had the time.

The Intrepid Sea, Air, & Space Museum which is centered on the aircraft carrier Intrepid. This was one of the many moments we wished the boys were with us...they would have loved this museum!

Ground Zero. And yes, it was VERY cold! It was close to 90 degrees in Utah and we were in New York trying to keep warm...why is it that I always take the cold with me wherever I go? We had to buy George and
Cambrie an additional
hoodie because it was so cold...we then looked like real tourists :)

Mmmmm...more sugar!
Cambrie became a pro at riding the subway and was exposed to a lot of different cultural experiences while in New York. She didn't like the cab rides at all which has been her motivation to visit New York since she was 3 years old (things aren't always what they seem). Thank you to Richard and Jamie for letting us be a part of your wedding and for living in New York. It gave us a really good excuse to take a much needed vacation...we love New York!
Just a side note: We also love home...we were so happy to be home :)
