More of Sitges

Cambrie wakeboarding.
Drew skimboarding.
Max enjoying his ice cream.
This is an old chapel in Sitges. It's so beautiful and the detail is amazing. We biked to it at night so the lights were glowing on the chapel and the moon shone just above it...it was breathtaking!

You Ate What?

Okay, I have to start with a disclaimer: There may be spelling errors while I'm posting from Europe. When I spell check it highlights EVERYTHING as spelled wrong because it's looking for words in Czech. So forgive me if the spelling is off...you get the idea.

Our kids have been able to taste so many different things on this trip that they've never been exposed to before. This is a picture of the boys eating mussels. Yum!
The market here is so much fun. Everything is open and right where the kids can see and touch it (although they weren't supposed to). They saw everything you could imagine in this market.
Not even sure what animals are hanging behind me...I'd rather not know ;)
Cheese anyone? Is this the most massive chunk of cheese you've ever seen? Who buys that much cheese at one time?
This is a picture of all our favorite things to eat in Spain. We have chocolate milk, cookies, bread, meat, cheese, cereal, coke, nutella, and magdalenas. Oh, we will miss this food!
Yes, this is our dear daughter who eats NOTHING but white bread and chocolate. However, she has been a champ at tasting new things and is actually eating calamari in this photo. So good.
Here's Mitchell pretending to take a bite out of a shrimp...eyes and all. I like shrimp but not so much when they bring it to me with the head still in tact.

Time Out!

I told you I'd send a picture of our boys in the kitchen window having time out. They thought it was the coolest thing ever...if only we had bars on our window in Atlanta :)

Sitges, Spain

My little travelers at the SLC airport last Tuesday. They did such a good job being responsible for their own bags. It was really much easier than I thought it would be. You can see Mitchell in his carseat in the corner...how would it be?
Just before lift off. This is pretty much how the 11 hour flight went. Mitchell only slept about 3 of the 11 hours...it was fun. The rest of the kids did great as long as they had a movie and some snacks. Drew's stinky feet were a problem and were killing EVERYONE so we had to keep them wrapped in a blanket. No kidding, that kid has a bad stinky feet issue!
Here we are at our apartment in Sitges, Spain. At this point it was 9 am in Sitges and 1 am in Utah...the jet lag was beginning to set in.
Walking to the market to get lunch before our much needed siesta. This town is so beautiful and unlike anything I've ever seen...our kids are so lucky to have this experience at such a young age.
This beach is one block away from our apartment. This is where we spend most of our time. P.S. Take note of the beautiful green grass that you have to pay 750 in Euros if you step on it. Apparently it's for dogs...LAME!
Siesta number one...Jet lag hits. This is the afternoon we arrived and the kids CRASHED! Drew and Max slept on the floor and didn't even care. No pillows, and just a blanket to lay on. We all slept for four hours...it was delightful.
I had to get a picture of Drew's feet. Nasty. This is pretty much how our kids feet look every day right now. They run around from the beach, to the bike, and to the pool, with flip flops or bare feet all day long. They've taken to this life very quickly :)
And then there's Max. He figured out a way to block the sun during his first siesta. So hilarious!
A walk to the beach after siesta. Everyone is starting to feel human again after our flight. Mitchell...obsessed with the water.

Instead of Where's Waldo, we play Where's Mitchell! George dug a hole to put him in so he would stop trying to escape into the ocean. This hole was a good babsitter for about five minutes, it didn't last long.
Mitchell LOVES eating the sand. Of course he does, why wouldn't he? He's been pooping sand for a week but it doesn't stop him.
And this my friends, is the way I do laundry these days. Below, you find our laundry basket, and above is the way we dry our clothes. For those of you who know me, you know I love nothing more than to fold laundry AFTER it has been adequately fluffed in the DRYER for a few minutes. Folding crusty laundry has taken a bit of getting used to but I'm realizing now how spoiled we are in the U.S. These people live such simple lives.
We are having so much fun together and are enjoying life here in Sitges. No phones, no car, and limited internet access. Now if we could rid the boy of fighting and fits, we could stop locking them in the kitchen window and it would be heaven (sounds abusive but really is a kick...pictures to come).

Love to all from Spain!

Please Sign Here, AND Here, AND Here, AND Here...

Today, George and I signed papers for over an hour. My anxiety peaked after the first 4,000 signatures! I felt like I was signing my life away. However, we finally got to the bottom of the stack and...

WE CLOSED ON THIS...
We can't wait to get to Georgia! We have ROOM to breathe in this house. We are so grateful to have a place of our own and can't wait to have VISITORS!
This is the point where all the papers were signed and we both felt a sense of relief.

Now, it's off to Europe. We leave Tuesday...stay tuned for updates about our trip:)
