Christmas Photos In January...

I know it's a bit late to post Christmas happenings but who doesn't need a little post-Christmas spirit in this DREADED January/February time of the year?

This picture is the beginning of a Gordon-Smith Christmas tradition we wanted to start doing with the kids. We made our own nativity out of play dough, baked it, and then the kids painted it. George did this when he was a child so he was a pro...the rest of us just followed his lead. The favorite was making the character's hair with the garlic press...they all had LOTS of hair!

This is the finished product. They really turned out great and the kids loved it. Next year we will start adding the animals...such a fun tradition!
This is Cambrie, Drew, and Max acting out the Christmas story with their cousins Tanzynn and Ty. My dad read the story out of the scriptures as the kids acted out their parts. This was one of the highlights for me and I think the kids really felt the spirit of what happened.
Christmas morning just before the madness began! We decided not to go anywhere this Christmas, we just wanted to stay home and relax. Such a good call. The kids played all day in their pajamas and then we went sledding later on with their new sleds. It was so nice to spend the day together without having to be anywhere...we just took it all in.
Happy New Year from the Gordon-Smith/Gines family!
