The Waiting Game

So here it is... THE MAP that consumes our thoughts every waking moment. While George was applying to PhD programs he would send the kids and I a text each time an application was completed. It was exciting for the kids to color in each state as he went and watch the map fill up. We won't start hearing back from schools until the end of February so the waiting game continues. My vote??? Texas, North Carolina, or Virginia. George's number one pick??? Princeton. Not sure how I feel about living in New Jersey but we're confident we will have a good experience in any of the "green" areas we may end up.

George's version of chicken taco's...
Here's how the phone conversation went...

Me: Hey babe, I'm at the church watching the Young Women play basketball. I got some chicken out would you mind cooking it and we'll just have tacos tonight?

George: No problem, I'll figure something out.

* 20 min later...I got home and this pot pie was on the table. George can come up with the most delicious meals in minutes. I totally would have stuck to the chicken tacos!

Overachiever.

Okay, i am so totally impressed --first of all that you'd trust him to do dinner, second that he can actually cook. Very cool!

Good luck with the PhD stuff. My vote is Texas because there is a good chance we might end up there as well (well, we could end up anywhere so who knows!) Keep us posted!

By the way, I vote for Texas. Nathan and I absolutely loved it there. We especially love it now that we're in -20 degree weather. The weather is awesome and the people are so nice. We want to end up there when Nathan is a doctor.

All I can say is What a STUD! I love pot pie! I'm gonna have to vote for Texas...I served my mission there....but on the other hand, I've heard good things about North Carolina...Stephanie Phelon, now Howard lives there and has for a long time....anyway I'm sure that where ever you go, it will be where you are suppose to be. As my dad would say, wherever you go...there you are...I know it's deep! Love ya!
