A Must Read

Okay, Okay. I know there are many of you who recommended I read this long ago and you're wondering why I'm just now getting to it. No excuses, except for the fact that I've been immersed in some great novels like Winter Garden by Kristin Hannah, Handle With Care by Jodi Picoult, The Middle Place by Kelly Corrigan, and Sarah's Key by Tatiana de Rosnay, to name a few (most of them must reads also).

However, Confessions of a Slacker Mom is in a league of it's own. I am LAUGHING OUT LOUD 80% of the time while reading this book...she is so right on. Thank you, Muffy Mead-Ferro, for saying out loud what the rest of us only wish we could come to terms with. Thank you for helping me simplify my life, and for validating so many of my own thoughts on parenting. Thank you for pointing out the fact that the world places WAY too many expectations on mothers and that a pile of mud is much more effective than the latest lame, plastic, educational toy I often feel I must buy for my children.

To all you moms out there...really, read this book. There are a few things I do disagree with, but for the most part, it's BRILLIANT.

Love it.

I'm adding this one to my list! I am currently about half way through The Help by Kathryn Stockett. If you haven't read that one, I HIGHLY recommend it!

Hope you guys are doing well!
